Privacy policy

Novapix respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It's written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind.

What I collect

• Contact messages: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form.
• Accounts: your name, email address and password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) when you register.
• Orders: what you bought, your billing country, and for physical items your shipping address and phone number if given.
• Security logs: failed sign-in attempts (email entered, IP address, browser type) and basic page visit records (page address, IP address), used to protect the site and understand traffic. These are deleted after 90 days.

What I don't collect

• Card or bank details. Payments are handled by PayPal, which has its own privacy statement.
• Tracking or advertising cookies. See the cookie page.

How it's used

• To reply to your messages
• To process, deliver and support your orders, and issue tax invoices
• To keep your account and downloads available to you
• To keep the site secure

I don't sell, rent or share your information for marketing, and I don't send newsletters unless you've asked for them.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the shop: PayPal (payments), the website host (which stores the site and its data in Australia or overseas data centres), the email provider, and the postal carrier (your name and address for delivery). Information may be disclosed if required by law.

How long it's kept

• Contact messages: up to 2 years, then deleted
• Orders and invoices: 5 years, as required by Australian tax law
• Accounts: until you delete your account, which you can do from your account settings

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct the personal information I hold about you, or ask for it to be deleted where the law allows. Get in touch and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with how a privacy concern is handled, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here.
