3D model licence
This licence applies to every 3D model bought from Novapix, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Buying a model gives you a licence to use it. It does not transfer copyright, which stays with Novapix.
You can
- Use the model in any number of your own projects, including commercial ones: games, apps, films, animations, renders, illustrations, advertising and printed products.
- Modify the model, its textures and rig in any way.
- Sell or distribute your finished project, as long as the model is part of a larger work and can't easily be extracted as a separate file (for example, compiled into a game build).
- 3D print the model for personal use, or as a component of your own product.
You can't
- Resell, share, give away or upload the model files, or modified versions of them, in any form. This includes asset stores, marketplaces, file-sharing sites and public repositories.
- Include the model in a template, asset pack or kit where the model itself is the thing being offered.
- Use the model, its textures or its renders to train, fine-tune or test any machine learning or AI system, or include them in a dataset.
- Claim the model as your own original work.
- Use the model in content that is unlawful, defamatory or hateful.
Teams and clients
The licence belongs to the person or business who bought it. You may share the files with team members and contractors working on your project, provided they use them only for that project and don't keep copies afterwards. Building a project for a client is fine; the client may use the finished work but doesn't receive the source files under your licence.
Credit
Credit isn't required, but it's always appreciated: "3D model by Novapix".
Other uses
Need something this licence doesn't cover, such as exclusive rights or permission to redistribute? Get in touch and we can arrange a custom licence.
Ending the licence
If you break these terms, the licence ends and you must delete the files. Work you've already released in line with the licence can stay published.
